28th August 2019 - VIPRE is pleased to announce the release of a new email security solution, VIPRE Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). This new package enhances our Email Security portfolio by delivering core email protection along with attachment sandboxing and phishing protection in a single solution. Built on top of the trusted VIPRE Email Security Cloud platform, ATP delivers powerful, modern security technology with advanced features in a single, cost-effective solution.
VIPRE ATP provides outstanding external threat protection, guarding against zero-hour malicious content in attachments and URLs. Leveraging protected cloud sandbox environments and machine learning-based behavioural analysis, ATP provides deep analysis of potentially malicious attachments and click-time protection of URLs.
VIPRE Advanced Threat Protection includes:
- VIPRE Email Security Cloud: Robust anti-malware, anti-spam, and anti-phishing protection as well as customisable and flexible advanced policies, all backed up by 90 days of continuity protection.
- Attachment Sandboxing: Protecting against malicious and zero-day email attachment threats, this leverages a temporary sandbox to isolate potentially malicious attachments and observe them as they execute. Using machine learning and a Behavioural Determination Engine (BDE), it recognises and stops evasive malware. BDE leverages a machine learning model trained on millions of malware samples to detect zero-day, polymorphic, and advanced persistent threats with high accuracy.
- Phishing Protection: Click-time protection of URLs embedded in emails defends against links becoming weaponised by replacing the original embedded URL with one that is revalidated when clicked, ensuring the target site is not malicious. This click-time revalidation helps ensure users don't visit sites that could steal data, corrupt machines or invade privacy.
